Mission Statement
The mission of the Saint Paul College Instructional Technology Center is to support and enhance the educational mission of the College by providing automated academic support, self-paced tutorials, and information resources reflective of current academic and technical coursework, student and faculty needs.
The ITC provides access to training for those who are either building basic skills or keeping current on office software and the latest in business, multimedia, and Internet programming.
Developmental Learning Center
Location: Room 3125
The Developmental Learning Center is available to students to assist them in the development or upgrading of their basic reading, grammar and math skills on a computer. Utilizing computer-based courseware, students are able to work on basic skills development at their own pace and on their own schedule under the supervision of faculty and center staff.
Assessment & Specialty Testing Center

This lab offers computerized basic skills assessment as part of the admissions process to help ease the transition to college. A College Board assessment instrument will be administered to access basic writing, reading, and numerical skill competencies. Keyboarding and other assessment instruments are also available as well as Microsoft, CompTIA, and Novell certification testing.
Open Lab Rooms
Location: Rooms 3215, 3225
These labs offer computer access to a variety of business-related and academic computer applications, Internet access, and programming languages. These labs are available for both individual students and groups.
Online Programs & Courses
Saint Paul College is committed to providing learning opportunities to students that are free of place or time restrictions. By utilizing the latest technology, the College delivers courses at places and times that are convenience to the student. Courses delivered via interactive television (ITV), Satellite connections or the Internet allows students and faculty to communicate regardless of the distance between them. Technology and its application allow the expansion of learning access to educational opportunities which may not be otherwise possible.
Services
The College’s commitment to “Life-Long Learning” is supported by the Instructional Technology Center (ITC). The ITC provides a computerized independent learning center with interactive courseware which serves as a resource for students and allows them to build on basic skills that apply to their vocational studies or job related tasks in math, reading, grammar, writing as well as technical and computer related skills.
Tutorials and other software, automated library and high speed Internet connections are offered that provide drills, practice, test knowledge, and give feedback. The ITC uses state of the art technology and transcribers.
A major focus of the ITC is to support faculty with student progress. Individual as well as classroom instruction is provided upon request. The ITC also serves as an educational support and information resource to faculty and staff.
