MediaSpace is a cloud-based web service developed by Kaltura, Inc. which facilitates the conversion and distribution of various audio and video media formats. This service is available to Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) faculty and staff at no charge.
Faculty and staff may upload media content to the MediaSpace server which automatically converts and optimizes your media for hassle-free distribution on the web. Once media is uploaded, MediaSpace will provide links and embed code that you can use to share your media with others. This service is somewhat similar to the YouTube environment.
Along with conversion of your media files, MediaSpace also offers webcam recording and closed captioning capabilities.
By accessing and using the MnSCU MediaSpace system to upload content you are confirming that you own the copyright to the content, or have cleared the copyright pursuant to Procedure 3.27.1 Copyright Clearance (http://www.mnscu.edu/board/procedure/327p1.html) and are in compliance with Procedure 5.22.1 Acceptable Use of Computers and Information Technology Resources (http://www.mnscu.edu/board/procedure/522p1.html).
