A special congratulation is in order for Saint Paul College Speech and Communications Instructor Dan Paulnock, who recently received the Board of Trustees Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system. Paulnock has been at the College since 1999 and currently serves as the chair of the Communication, English, Speech, and Theatre Department.
The award is given each year to select faculty to acknowledge and encourage excellence. Nominees are selected from all 32 of the system's colleges and universities and reviewed by a panel of judges that includes faculty members, presidents, administrators, and students. The judges cited Paulnock's commitment to teaching diverse learning styles, use of cutting–edge technology, and introduction of online courses among their reasons for the award.
