Assessment of student learning is measured at the classroom, program and College level. Reports on Assessment of Student Learning are generated and reviewed annually by each program division. These, in turn, are evaluated by academic deans and representatives from the Assessment/Institutional Effectiveness Committee.
A separate Assessment of General Education Plan was submitted to the Higher Learning Commission in 2004 with a subsequent implementation plan in 2006. The plan continues to update as programs and initiatives in General Education are revised.
Eight College-wide Core Competencies were developed and piloted in spring 2012 and fall 2012:
The FY13 President's Goal for Saint Paul College is to have 2 or more of the core competencies assessed in each program by spring 2013.
