Joe Juaire is the Department Chair, Lead Instructor and Program Advisor for the Saint Paul College Micro Mechanical, Clockmaking and Watchmaking programs. He has been an instructor at Saint Paul College since 1995. His favorite part of teaching is the interaction with students and the intricacy and variety of the work in the subject that he teaches. Joe has also personally specialized in the repair of complicated watches and the restoration of eighteenth century and early nineteenth watches that often required the manufacture of components to successfully complete the repair.

In 2004, he received the Saint Paul College Program Innovation Award for being instrumental in the program receiving a significant grant from the Rolex Foundation. He also has been recognized by MPLS/ST. PAUL Magazine as the local expert on the repair and restoration of fine antique watches and clocks.

His professional affiliations include American Watchmakers Clockmakers Institute, Midwest Watchmakers Clockmakers Association, and National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Joe received his Watch, Clock and Jewelry Repair Diploma in 1988 from Saint Paul College, and Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program (WOSTEP), Neuchatel, Switzerland, in 1989 and WOSTEP Teacher Training in 1998.
