Inna Braginsky has been teaching at Saint Paul College in the Intensive English Program (IEP) for more than 25 years and is currently serving as the Department Chair. She has taught all levels and aspects of ESL and has worked with students from many different continents and cultures.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL from the Gorky Linguistic Pedagogical University in Russia and her Master of Education Degree from the University of Minnesota. As an immigrant herself, Inna takes particular interest in helping ESL students pursue their educational and employment dreams in their new country.

Inna is a member of the professional organizations MinneTESOL and TESOL. In 2004, she received the Academic Excellence Award for implementation of computerized testing for ESL.

Her hobbies include music, theater, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Inna Wolfson is a full-time instructor of English-as-a-Second-Language courses in the Intensive English Program (IEP) at Saint Paul College. She has been teaching various subjects since 2005. Inna has previously taught at an array of Intensive English University programs in Wisconsin (UW-Stout and UW-River Falls), Minnesota (Hamline and St. Scholastica), and overseas.

A third-generation teacher, Inna takes special pride in having taught at several instructor education programs and having had dozens of students who followed in her footsteps. She is particularly interested in computer-mediated instructional methods and extra-curricular activities (book clubs and dramatization) as means to enhance students’ motivation to acquire academic language skills.

Inna holds a BA in English from Simferopol State University, Ukraine, and a MA in TESOL (adult strand) from Hamline, St. Paul. Her academic interests include ways to stimulate second language acquisition and novel approaches to content instructions for ESL students. Over her 30-year long career, Inna has been a staunch proponent of ESL education and an advocate of the rights of non-native English speakers.
