Program Overview

General maintenance workers are required to work on machines, equipment, and systems that are powered and controlled by electrical energy. This short-term training program is designed to give employees the necessary skills needed to safely troubleshoot and solve electrical problems within their work environment.

• Basic AC and DC electrical concepts.
• How to maintain electrical distribution systems and electrical equipment.
• How to troubleshoot and repair commercial, industrial, or residential electrical problems.
• Basic knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
