Saint Paul College was established in 1910, and we are proud to be honoring over a century of education.

Saint Paul College has a beautifully landscaped campus and overlooks the vibrant City of Saint Paul. The College is conveniently located near the intersection of I35E and I94, with ample off-street parking available in a new parking ramp and multiple parking lots.

Saint Paul College offers day, evening, weekend and online courses, as well as 43 associate degree programs, including the Associate in Arts degree, and 79 career certificate and diploma programs.

The new Health and Science Alliance Center includes science laboratories, STEM/health flexible classrooms, business and industry classrooms, general classrooms and a state-of-the-art Simulation Center for Health Sciences programs.

The new Simulation Center has 3 ICU beds, 1 Operating Room Center, 1 Pharmacy Technician Center, 1 Med-Surg with Isolation Room Center, 1 Physician Office Center and 1 Long term Transition Care Center. The SIM Center is equipped with state of the art high fidelity and low fidelity mannequins.

The Saint Paul College Instrumentation Lab and Clean Room Facility is a multi-user facility designed for use by students and faculty, as well as users from business and industry.

The Saint Paul College theatre is used for events, presentations, orientations, and performances.

The Learning Commons area also has plenty of electrical outlets for students to charge their computers, phones, and other technical gadgets. It’s located on the main floor and easily accessible from all areas of the College.

The Library is located by the Learning Commons area on the main floor, with a newly expanded circulation area and group study area. A lounge reading area is another amenity that offers students additional study space and adds to the Library’s attractive and inviting environment. A copy machine is available for student use. The Student ID Card also serves as the library card, which allows for full access to MNPALS, including interlibrary loan.

The Coffee Shop has a new location next to the Learning Commons area and is open from 7:00am to Noon, Monday through Friday during each semester. Order your favorite latte or cappuccino, tea or regular coffee!

Comfortable seating is available next to the Coffee Shop and City View Café (cafeteria) for eating, studying, and just meeting with friends.

The College’s cafeteria, which is known as the City View Café, is open to campus visitors, students and employees. Breakfast and lunch are served daily, and dinner is available Monday – Thursday. Microwaves are also available in the City View Café seating area.

The City View Café seating area is near the Learning Commons. A built-in gas fireplace offers a cozy amenity during winter, with ample seating available in the lounge area. A permanent stage area is located in the City View Café for special programs and events.

The newly remodeled lower level has easy access to the Career and Technical lab areas, multiple classrooms, vending machines and snack area, and the parking ramp.

The Bookstore not only has textbooks and college supplies, but sells campus wear, backpacks, gifts and cards.

Our Career and Technical Education programs are well connected to employers who often donate the state-of-the-art equipment upon which our students train, such as those pictured in our Manufacturing Technology labs.

Students in the construction and building trades all benefit from receiving hands-on training on top-notch equipment and learning the solid basic skills and newest techniques required in the industry. The Carpentry and Cabinetmaking programs provide hands-on training where students learn and use the skills they will need on construction and building sites, and participate in Service Learning projects constructing and building homes for veterans through partnerships with community agencies.

The Automotive Service Technician lab (pictured) provides ample space and training on equipment meeting transportation industry standards. With the complexity of today’s vehicles, our students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to diagnose and repair cars.

In the Truck Technician lab, students receive hands-on training on trucks using modern testing equipment and acquire the knowledge and skills to service and repair medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers, including gas and diesel engines.

The well-equipped Chemistry Labs are used by students in Health Science and STEM programs, as well as those students taking chemistry courses to meet general education requirements.

The Computer Graphics lab provides ample computers and space for students to learn during class and lab time. Students benefit from small class sizes with individualized attention from program instructors.

Medical Laboratory Technician Lab facilities offer students training in proper use, calibration, adjustment, and operation of most laboratory precision instrumentation including clinical microscopes, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, computers, and automated laboratory analyzers.

Health Science programs provide hands-on training for students on state-of-the-art equipment and hi-fidelity manikins in realistic situations in the Simulation Lab, as shown by Respiratory Therapy students. Students are very well-prepared for working with real patients in clinical settings.

Practical Nursing students also benefit from hands-on practicing clinical skills on sophisticated manikins in the Simulation Center labs. All skills labs rooms can be video monitored and recorded by instructors, who also can monitor and provide remote instructions to students from the SIM Center control room.

The Fitness Lab is used for instruction and hands-on training by Sport and Exercise Sciences students. The Fitness Lab also has open-lab hours for Saint Paul College students and staff to use the exercise facilities and equipment.

Saint Paul College's Esthetician program is a CIDESCO school. This means the program prepares candidates for the CIDESCO examination. CIDESCO is an internationally recognized esthetics credential. In the Cosmetology and Nail Technician programs, students receive practical experience working in salon settings on campus, providing real-world services for clientele. Students also learn and practice delivering exceptional customer service.

The Sign Language Interpreter/Transliterator program is one of the original six interpreter programs in the United States. It was established in 1972. As part of the Sign Language Interpreter/Transliterator curriculum, students in the program practice ASL skills in the Sign Language Interpreter Training Lab.

Students in our Culinary Arts programs gain a strong foundation in food service skills and receive training in multifaceted techniques in our new culinary kitchens, preparing them for many areas of the food and hospitality industry. Our Culinary Arts degree and diploma programs are accredited by the ACFEF and are the only Exemplary Status programs in public education in Minnesota.
