New Biology lecture series

The Biology and Natural Science Labs are newly updated, offering students innovative technology to support teaching and learning.  In addition to foundation courses in General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and other lab science courses, the department is now offering popular courses in Natural Disasters, Energy and the Environment, and soon to be available, Forensic Science.  The department also provides opportunities for the discussion of current health issues in courses such as Contemporary Issues in Biology and the Biology of Women.  The College will continue to add new biology courses to the curriculum and use innovative technology in all of the Life Science courses.  Over 900 students enroll in Biology and Natural Science courses each semester to help them develop the knowledge and skills for work and life goals.  During Fall Semester 2006, the College also introduced the Biology Lecture Series.  Saint Paul College Vice President Craig Anderson was the first guest speaker and he provided an informative presentation on the Bird Flu Pandemic that received rave reviews from the many students and staff who attended.
