College approved as CLEP and ACT testing site
The College-Level Examination Program® or CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. There are more than 2,900 colleges in the US that grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams. CLEP testing is now offered at Saint Paul College. CLEP provides students of any age the opportunity to earn college credit by earning qualifying scores on any of the 34 CLEP examinations.
The Assessment Center in Room 419 offers CLEP testing by appointment on Fridays. If you have any questions, please contact Cindi Braun at 651.846.1553 or cindi.braun@saintpaul.edu. Good News! -- The State of Minnesota pays CLEP exam fees for high school students from September 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007.
The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam. It assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
Saint Paul College offers standardized ACT testing. Spring 2007 testing is scheduled for Saturday, February 10, 2007, and Saturday, April 14, 2007. For more information about ACT Assessment visit www.actstudent.org.
