Faculty Excellence Awards
The 2005-07 Minnesota State College Faculty contract with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system provides for the granting of Awards of Excellence as a means of rewarding faculty achievements “above and beyond the normal requirements of the individual’s position(s).” The purpose of these awards at Saint Paul College is to support excellence in student learning. Proposals are welcomed and encouraged from all instructional program faculty and non-teaching faculty as individuals or as teams internally, or with faculty from other institutions. All full- and part-time faculty at Saint Paul College are eligible to participate.
Proposals must include three characteristics:
- The proposal must involve work that is above and beyond the normal requirements of the individual’s position;
- The proposal must demonstrate that the project objectives or outcomes will promote excellence in student learning;
- The proposal must clearly identify the methods to be used for assessing outcomes.
Projects are reviewed, evaluated and approved or returned by a review committee comprised of an equal number of faculty and administrators. These individuals include:
| Faculty: Mike Connelly Joe Juaire Kendal Loewen Janet Massa Francois Nguyen |
Administrators: Gene Adams (Interim) Peggy Kennedy Marilyn Krasowski Tom Matos Sherry Schwartz |
Numerous projects have been proposed and approved. A list of those approved and completed and in progress is summarized in the Faculty Awards for Excellence Project Summary.
