Higher Learning Commission review & action
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in the development and completion of the progress report that was due to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) focusing on the implementation of student learning outcomes and the assessment plan for general education. A special “thank you” to Margie Tomsic and Sherry Schwartz for writing the report, developing the goals/competencies, and for articulating the assessment results.
Think about the accreditation activities we have accomplished in the last few years:
- The 2001-02 HLC accreditation self-study;
- The 2003 evaluation for continued accreditation;
- The 2004 progress report on assessment of occupational programs;
- The 2005 progress report on the assessment of general education & student learning outcomes;
- The 2006 AQIP accreditation acceptance;
- The 2006 MN On-Line accreditation for on-line learning;
- The health and service programmatic accreditation evaluations in between 2001 & 2006!
That’s a lot of investment in quality! The new Statement of Affiliation Status and the HLC analysis of the institutional report will be distributed shortly.
