Power of YOU off to strong start

The Power of YOU (POY) at Saint Paul College is off a strong start. The program, in its first year, included one hundred and twenty graduates of Saint Paul and Minneapolis public schools who enrolled for the Fall 2006 semester. Of that initial group, 104 returned for the Spring 2007 semester. This means that approximately 87% of those who started with the program. This retention rate is considered strong by any measure.

To date approximately 400 students have submitted applications for the second round of the POY program. It is expected that 120 to 130 additional POY students will enroll in the Fall of 2007, once all is said and done.
