Foundation awarded funding for new scholarship
The automotive programs at Saint Paul College have been awarded a $15,000 scholarship fund for need-based students by US Bank Private Client Group, the administrators of the Arlan Schonberg Foundation. The official name of the fund will be “Schonberg Automotive Scholarship.”
The Schonberg Foundation has been a key funder for projects in both Automotive Service Technician and Auto Body Repair programs for over 4 years. Transporting Futures was a recruiting program funded by this foundation for Automotive Service Technicians in 2003/2004 and the Multi-Media classroom and Spray Booth Renovation was also funded for Auto Body Repair in the past two years (2005/2006).
The administrators of this trust are true supporters of Saint Paul College and they wanted me to inform all of you that they trust that their investment will be spent wisely.
The scholarship fund may begin as early as summer session. Deadlines for this scholarship will be April 1, 2007 for summer and July 1, 2007 for fall semester. Foundation scholarship applications are available in the Library, Financial Aid or on the College Web site.
