Three new grants to be submitted in May
The Assessment and Research Division will coordinate three grants during the month of May on behalf of the College. Saint Paul College has partnered with the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Saint Paul Public Schools, 3M Corporation, the Community Computer Access Network and several other partners to submit a proposal to the National Science Foundation for the Invention, Design, Engineering and Art (IDEA) Cooperative. The IDEA Cooperative specifically targets underserved students of color in Saint Paul’s East Side neighborhood to create learning experiences for youth participants during after-school hours and summer. Participating students will acquire information technology skills related to product design, electronics and robotics and job skills for the 21st century, along with an awareness of IT and engineering careers. Information on Power of YOU scholarships and degree offerings at Saint Paul College will be showcased to participants.
