Dick Wold and Kelly McKown nominated for Excellence in Teaching Award

Dick Wold, instructor in Engineering Technology/CNC Toolmaking Program and Kelly McKown, Child Development instructor, were recently nominated for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees Excellence in Teaching Award. The award recognizes the dedication and accomplishments of faculty in providing instruction that prepares students for their professional, scholarly, and civic lives. Each of the nominees was supported by students, faculty and administration in completing the nomination requirements. The nomination required a summary presentation, presidential endorsement letter, and faculty nominee portfolio. More than 65 faculty in the System were nominated for this prestigious award.

A committee reviewed the applications and forwarded the names of three finalists upon whom the Board of Trustees’ Award should be bestowed. Unfortunately, Kelly and Dick were not one of the three finalists. Yet, their service and commitment to the College is very noteworthy. Many thanks to Dick and Kelly for their outstanding service to the students at Saint Paul College!
