American Chemical Society Recognition

Saint Paul College is now listed in the American Chemical Society Directory of Chemistry Based Technology Programs. This membership is approved for “chemistry-based technology programs that meet high standards of academic excellence and industrial partnership.” As a part of the membership, Saint Paul College will participate in the Two-Year College Chemistry Consortium providing a network for educators at two-year institutions. The ACS also offers a process for students to be nominated for the Student Recognition Awards Program. Dr. Penny Starkey and Zubah Kpanaku were instrumental in the College receiving the ASC recognition. They are also developing new chemistry based programming for students at the College including an Associate in Science Degree in Chemistry and a Chemical Technology Certificate.
