Power of YOU

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for the Power of YOU program at Saint Paul College are as follows:

To be eligible for the program, you must:

• Graduate from a Saint Paul or Minneapolis public high school in Spring 2008
• Be a resident of the City of Saint Paul or City of Minneapolis (no suburbs)
• Complete and submit the Power of YOU program application by the deadlines
• Come in to take your Assessment (http://www.saintpaul.edu/admissions/assessment/) in reading, writing and math or complete the English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) Assessment if you are a non-native speaker of English.
• Submit the 2008-09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA - available after January 1, 2008) and complete the financial aid process at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Include the Saint Paul College FAFSA school code 005533.

Remaining Eligible

To remain eligible for the Power of YOU program at Saint Paul College, you must meet each of the following requirements:

• Upon high school graduation, submit an official high school transcript that indicates the date of your graduation
• Attend New Student Orientation and register for Fall Semester 2008 classes
• Enroll in at least 12 credits per term toward a degree, diploma or certificate
• Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress http://www.saintpaul.edu/offices/financialaid/index.aspx#standards requirements each term
• Participate in Power of YOU activities, including service learning and other volunteer opportunities
