After receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University, Aaron Bommarito settled in Minnesota and began teaching at Saint Paul College where he is the Chair of the Fine Arts and Humanities department. He has exhibited his artwork across the United States and is included in permanent collections at the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in Japan, the Northlight Gallery in Arizona and the Minnesota Center for Photography in Minneapolis. His photographic portfolios include Minnesota camera obscuras, imagery of birds, birdlore and migration, and prints of the creosote bush. He uses a range of processes including photogravure, non-silver photographic methods, traditional gelatin silver prints and contemporary digital imaging.
