Cheers to finishing week four of spring semester! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
Here’s a brief recap of what I was up to this week:
On Monday, I met with the Vice President of Wilder Center for Communities, from the Wilder Foundation. I also attended Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Leadership Council meeting (both Monday and Tuesday).
I also attended the Minnesota Philanthropy WebEx meeting on Tuesday and then met with the Director of YWCA Workforce Development.
On Wednesday, I met with the College’s Leadership Team.
On Thursday, the College’s Management Leadership Team attended professional development training. I attended the Ramsey County Workforce Investment Board meeting.
Many of our Leadership Team also attended a presentation by Dr. Joel Vargas, Vice President of Jobs for the Future, High School through College. Saint Paul College has over 400 high school students attending here and getting ready for college, as we are actively engaged in a variety of high school initiatives with our partnering high schools.
On Friday, I attended an Executive Leadership selection process for Metro Colleges. I also attended a Metro Alliance Presidents meeting. Friday ended with a productive meeting with the Commissioner of Minnesota Office of Higher Education (MOHE) and MOHE Policy Analyst.
To our students - thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with you in your educational journey! I hope all of you are doing well and making progress - remember, we are here to assist you with your goals!
