The Friends of Saint Paul College Scholarship Reception was held this week in celebration of scholarship recipients and donors. The tireless giving from generous individual donors, including faculty, staff, administrators, members of our community, and corporate donors, makes education affordable for our students.
Members of Saint Paul College leadership team, faculty and staff, and I welcomed individual and corporate donors and 48 of our scholarship recipients. Mayor Melvin Carter joined the list of honoree guests with his son as a recipient of one of the scholarships. Our two student speakers shared their compelling stories and how they have benefitted from the generosity and philanthropy of our donors.
It’s never too late to give. If you would like to donate and be engaged with a good cause, please go to http://www.saintpaul.edu/alumni/give.

It is a valuable networking opportunity, connecting students, volunteers, donors and supporters.
I was hoping we could all breathe a sigh of relief with the end of the record-breaking weather for the month of February, but here we are on March 1st with...dare I say it – more snow. I choose to believe the weather prognosticators who are telling us that we will not get more snow this weekend!
Thank you all for your contributions and commitment to Saint Paul College. I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!
My best, Rassoul
