Seventh Week of Summer Term 2015

During Summer term, our faculty and staff remain as steadfast in their commitment to excellence in teaching and providing the best service to students as they do during the other seasons of the year. At Saint Paul College, students are our number one priority – and we know that we are not just providing a means for furthering their education. We know that we are here to help them pursue and achieve their hopes and dreams for their careers and their life’s work as they start here and go anywhere!

This week has been a slightly unusual week for me as I was called to serve as a juror, but I was able to get to a few important meetings:

  • Neighborhood House - I attended a strategic planning meeting with the Neighborhood House, an intentional partner of our FastTRAC program. Read more about our Culinary Arts FastTRAC program on page 9 of the Fall 2015 issue of our Saint Paul College Magazine.
  • United Hospital Foundation - As a United Hospital Foundation Board member, I met with several physicians, friends, and supporters of United Hospital Foundation at a “meet and greet event” and discussed hospital expansion plans.

Of special note:

  • I am proud of two students who are participating in the Guy Healy, Japan USA Summer Camp, which is a unique English camp experience bonding counselors from the United States with campers in Japan. Our students traveled to Japan to work with children to assist with their English speaking skills and word comprehension. Saint Paul College is the first two-year college that has been accepted into this program. This is wonderful and rich learning opportunity for our students.
  • Finally, I offer my humble gratitude to our facility staff who are working very hard to complete several remodel and renovation projects on campus, as well as completing a deep cleaning of our facilities. This attention to detail really makes a difference and helps our campus and facilities remain state-of-the-art.

With several construction projects underway on campus, I thank you for your patience, understanding and support.

I wish you a relaxing weekend.

Best, Rassoul
