The Office of Access & Disability Resources (ADR) thrives to holistically supports students with disabilities through collaboration with faculty and staff to minimize barriers on campus. ADR office ensure equitable access through creating reasonable accommodations, provide education on accessibilities, and maintaining up to date with disability best-practices.
Colleges and universities do not seek out students with disabilities due to privacy laws. Therefore, self-advocacy is a skill student should practice to help themselves succeed in college. Colleges and universities generally do not provide accommodations unless or until a student request for accommodations. The ability to advocate will benefit you in your life and career.
