At Saint Paul College (SPC), those students aren’t just earning college credits. They’re writing college-level research papers, participating in student organizations, building relationships with mentors, and graduating with credentials that open doors before high school graduation.

In Spring-Summer 2026 alone, more than 65 Saint Paul College PSEO students completed degrees, certificates, or credentials. One student’s path stood out:

By the time they finished the program, they had earned an Associate of Arts degree, the Chemistry Transfer Pathway AS, the Science and Engineering Technology AS, a Scientific Research Certificate, and a Spanish Transfer Pathway AA through another Minnesota State institution.

Their achievement reflects what can happen when motivated students are given early access to college opportunities.

For many students, the experience is about more than academics. They arrive on campus as high school students and leave with college credits, professional skills, and a network of people cheering them on.

Another former PSEO student recently celebrated receiving a $6,500 LeadMN scholarship. In thanking an SPC staff member for a letter of recommendation, they reflected on years of support, from exploring academic programs to receiving guidance whenever questions arose.

The relationships built through PSEO often last beyond graduation. One student, preparing for their next chapter, shared that they planned to stay connected to Saint Paul College and looked forward to seeing a younger sibling begin their own journey.

That support begins before students ever attend their first class.

Each semester, 85-90% of new PSEO students choose to attend Saint Paul College’s voluntary Prep Sessions. At the Prep Sessions, they practice writing professional emails to instructors, learn how to navigate a college syllabus, discover campus resources, and build the confidence to advocate for themselves as college students.

The PSEO team promises that every PSEO student will have support walking alongside them throughout their SPC journey.

Whether students are taking their first college class, earning a certificate, or graduating with a degree while still in high school, Saint Paul College’s PSEO program provides a place where opportunity, support, and ambition come together.
