Saint Paul College’s Economic Impact in Minnesota
Minnesota State commissioned the analysis to quantify the impact of its statewide operations. Minnesota State has a number of tools helpful in explaining the value proposition for supporting higher education; this independent study is one way to help explain its worth. In trying to explain the value of Minnesota State to both internal and external constituents, it is important to quantify the financial and societal gains realized throughout the state.
The purpose of the economic contribution analysis is to develop tools for reliably estimating and documenting the significant economic contribution that Minnesota State and its 37 colleges and universities provides the state and local communities. The objectives of this communication plan include:
- Maximizing visibility both across the state and in local communities for the economic contribution of Minnesota State and individual colleges and universities.
- Providing campus leaders and communicators with actionable tools for documenting and communicating the economic contribution their campuses make to their local economy.
- Providing statistically valid economic data to support our legislative request for the 2019 session.
