The College will have a President Advisory Council which will determine its officers and advise the College president on issues relating to the College.

President’s Advisory Council Procedure

The President’s Advisory Council strengthens and develops connections between Saint Paul College and the community by fostering, enhancing, and sustaining relationships with community partners to support economic vitality, workforce development, and social justice. 

Council member duties include: 

  • Serving as a college ambassador in the community, expanding the College’s circle of friends and assisting with fostering connections to the college   
  • Offering the president unbiased and insightful advice, providing critical assistance, identifying areas of concern, and serving as strategic thought partner with the president and the college executive leadership team 
  • Establishing vital connections to valuable professional expertise and perspectives   
  • Keeping informed about plans, activities, and needs of the college and dedicate time, talent, and resources to support the college in accomplishing its strategic objectives   

Membership includes the college’s executive leadership, a faculty representative, a student representative, and community partners. Members of the Council reside in the greater St. Paul geographic area and are chosen based on their expertise in forging connections, generating ideas, expanding influence, strategizing, providing counsel, and reflecting the demographics of the student body. Members share a strong commitment to enhancing community vitality and supporting the college and its president in implementing community-based components of the strategic plan.  

President’s Advisory Council members may be appointed upon recommendation of the President of the Saint Paul College or any Council member. Membership terms are for a three-year period, with an option for an additional term(s). l. 

The Council will meet a minimum of four (4) times per year. Additional meetings may be called as necessary and with appropriate notice. Members are actively encouraged to attend additional college events that celebrate the accomplishments of our students. 

President’s Advisory Council guidelines will be reviewed each year at the Fall meeting.
