If you love working with wood, enjoy being creative and have an eye for detail, our two-semester Cabinetmaking program is a great choice for you! Its mix of combining traditional woodworking and state-of-the-art tools will prepare you to get a job in the growing cabinetmaking industry.
Our approach in the Cabinetmaking program at Saint Paul College is through project-based instruction, hands-on training and a solid theoretical foundation. You will use table saws, routers and clamps to cut, shape and assemble boards and turn them into a beautiful piece of furniture. In our modern spacious lab, you will have hands-on experience with a variety of tools and machines cabinetmakers use, and acquire all the skills you need to succeed in your future career.
To help you excel in the project-based training, you will build a solid foundation through classroom instruction. Print reading, wood processing technologies, and project planning classes help you to understand the steps needed when starting your first cabinet project.
