Business Department Mission
The mission of the Business Department at Saint Paul College is to sustain the College mission by providing quality, lifelong business education supported by technology for a diverse, metropolita​n student population.​​

​Graduates of the Finance AS Degree program will be prepared to transfer to another college or university to complete a bachelors program.

Graduates of the Finance Certificate program will be able to help prepare spreadsheet analysis, database entries and provide other application software support. This program is a targeted at accounting and business students who have an interest in finance and would like to add a certificate in finance to their resume to enhance their career path and potential. ​

Are you looking for a rewarding and meaningful career?  Finance affects every decision a company makes because all decisions made by management involve a financial element. We will focus on developing your finance skills to become a valuable team member in your company.  The Finance programs are designed to accommodate your demanding schedule with online courses and a Certificate program that can be completed as quickly as eight months. 

The Finance Associate of Science (AS) Degree is designed for students planning a career in finance and those who also plan to continue their education in finance towards a bachelor's degree at four-year institutions.  Career opportunities include Financial Analyst, Personal Financial Planning, Insurance Company Analyst, and many others.    This associate degree program prepares students for finance responsibilities. Students learn about the functions of business, including accounting, management, marketing, and human resources. Students study a broad background of finance, business, and liberal arts subjects that prepare them for entry-level positions in finance. 

The Finance Certificate program is delivered online for students who desire to learn or enhance specific finance skills, including existing Accounting AAS Degree students and alumni. These skills include summarizing and analyzing detailed financial data, personal finance, and money and banking. The graduate will be prepared for entry-level positions in banks, insurance companies, personal financial planning firms, and companies of all sizes.
