Saint Paul College students are taking the national stage at the SkillsUSA Championship 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 1–5, 2026. After months of hard work, dedication, and competition, these talented students will represent SPC among the nation’s best skilled trades students.
The SkillsUSA Championship is one of the world’s largest hands-on workforce development competitions and the premier showcase for America’s most highly skilled career and trade students. Each year, nearly 7,000 students compete in 115 skilled trade, technical, and leadership events while more than 2,000 industry professionals volunteer to judge competitions and recognize excellence in career readiness.
The national competition highlights the importance of workforce education and prepares students for successful careers in high-demand industries. Beyond medals and awards, competitors can earn scholarships, industry recognition, and even job opportunities.
Reaching the SkillsUSA National Championship is no small accomplishment. Students spend an entire year developing and demonstrating their skills through multiple levels of competition.
The journey begins at local competitions, where students showcase their technical knowledge and abilities. Winners advance to district and regional events before competing at the state level in the spring. Only state gold medalists earn the opportunity to compete at the SkillsUSA national championship in Atlanta.
This year, there are four gold medal SPC national qualifiers for the SkillsUSA National Championship 2026:
Tommy Ihnot-Cabinetmaking
Aiden Reller-Sheet Metal
Teresa Kracht-Commercial Baking
Gabriella Odegard- Cosmetology
We are incredibly proud of these students for their achievements and commitment to excellence in career and technical education. Competing at the national level is a major accomplishment, and these students will represent SPC with skill, professionalism, and determination.
Congratulations to all of our SkillsUSA national qualifiers, and best of luck in Atlanta! The entire SPC community will be cheering you on throughout the competition.
